Maybe its me. Imagine you're 15 years old, ok? You are re-doing 8th grade, and are faced with the prospect of re-doing it AGAIN unless you turn in homework that you have done, and is sitting in your backpack. Would there be no motivation there at all to perhaps TURN IN THE FRIGGIN HOMEWORK?!??!?

The time that R spends with J. each night, the time that I spend with him, the constant barrage of questions - what did you do today in each class. Did you get any homework. Did you turn IN your homework. When is your homework due? Go DO your homework. Have you done your homework? Show it to me..There isn't much more we can do is there?? Anyone got any ideas? And while we're on the subject, would it have KILLED the math teacher to ask for the homework on Friday when it was due? Since we'd talked about it the previous Tuesday? At length??? AAAAAGGGH!! At this rate J. will be DRIVING HIMSELF to Junior High School. K., his sister, is a self starter. A year older and two grades ahead. J. isn't, and until he got down here, I got the impression he was pretty much left to fend for himself, so he's got into bad habits, that will be hard to break. Oh well, Summer School, here we come...
