Oh the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune!

Fortunately, this weekend they seemed to be inside the tent firing out, rather than outside the tent firing in, which is their more usual Modus Operandi.

First things first - wonga. Money, spondulis, cash.

As I may have mentioned, I decided to liquidate a life insurance policy since a) I have plenty of insurance through work (about half a mill) and b) we needed to stop paying it and pay off the IRS so we can afford our outrageous new house insurance bill.

The effect of this was greater than I anticpated. Instead of getting $1500, it looks like we'll actualy get back $3700!

So here's what we're going to do:

  • $1000 to pay off the IRS
  • $200 to do last years taxes
  • $300 to get my car serviced properly
  • $300 to get the floors steam cleaned
  • $100 to fix the slight crack in the chimney
  • $600 to pay off the fridge frezer
  • $100 to buy the Complete System of the Golden Dawn
  • $500 for a new Dishwasher
  • $300 for Merry Maids to come in and spring clean
  • $150 for a Futon for the temple room

That leaves about $150 for a slap up meal at Mrs. Miggins' Pie Shop.

Why do we need a Futon(which, by the way, is Japanese for 'unwelcome guest')?

Well we have a guest coming - although not an unwelcome one.

My Niece is coming to visit us! Or so she claims - it may change, you never know ... But we'll call her JS and I'll add her to the cast list if she comes over. I'll also dig out a picture of her to post if I can find one and scan it somehow...

Last night we went out to Tai Sho, for J's 16th birthday meal. Tai Sho is a Japanese Hibachi restaurant - lots of fun and we had a great time. Afterwards we went to Half Price books and bought a whole bunch of new (well, new to us) books to explore. I have an extraordinary amount of reading to do for this Ceremonial Magic stuff, but I am gradually getting closer to a Grand Unified Religion Theory which I will endeavor to explain in detail when its all done and dusted.

For now, I need to go pace fretfully backwards and forwards for a bit...Family is coming!!!! Yippeee!!!!
