We didn't go to the stockyards last night. While we were debating what to do, I asked R. when her daughter K. was coming in, so she called her dad to find out.

She was coming in RIGHT NOW!. Each of them had assumed the other would be calling us, so within 30 seconds we're hauling ass to the airport, where we pick up K. then head back to Mansfield, stopping at Johnny Carinos for dinner.

While we're there, J's buddy's mom calls and asks if its ok for J. to spend the night. She offers to run him to detention hall in the morning (for the smoking episode. He also has a court date. Sheesh. Isn't that double indemnity?). We run home so J. can get his stuff, drop off JS (my niece) and then drive over to buddy's house. Then drive back to our house and hang out for a few hours. My niece, who has never played darts before, creamed both mine and R's ass at Cricket (The darts game, not the thing with the ashes)!

Johnnypop sent me some of the pictures I asked for of our Ridgeway tour. I remember this one very well. We had a hard time finding a place to stay in the evenings. So once we had to live in a small cave owned by some guy called Wayland Smithy. I think that's the story. Something like that, anyway. I'm the one on the right, aged about 17 or 18...

J. called a little while ago. Apparently he didn't take any materials for d-Hall, so they sent him away. Now he's back at buddy's house. He has to be home by 2 to get changed for a date, then back again by 7 in time for the party, which is what the rest of us have to start getting busy preparing for. If I'm sober enough, I'll try and take some pics and post them this evening...
