I have to load time files from AutoTA this morning. The guy who normally does it is on vacation. Auto TA is a Time and Attendance program. All we need it to do is collect hours from the time clock and load them into SAP. But like everything that the HR triad gets their fingers into, its FUBAR.

Simplicity is the key to the best systems. The weathervane has survived for hundreds of years basically unmodified because it is a simple piece of analog technology that has only one moving part and does what it is supposed to do.

I was hoping to telecommute today, but that didn't happen because of this ratty AutoTA system. I have to load Canada at the top of the hour, so I better go prepare.
