Storm Coming?Storm Coming?

The USS San Francisco ran aground. Are you kidding me?
This happened three days ago, but I'm just starting to put the pieces together now, so bear with me.
The USS San Francisco is Los Angeles Class submarine. It is state of the art. They don't have a windshield or driver's side airbags, but they do have a state of the art BQG-5 wide aperture sonar array and precision undersea maps of the Pacific.
Something would have had to happen to the sonar array and the undersea relief maps for this thing to run aground.
Well, it was in the Pacific at the time of a major seismic event. I would speculate that either the sonar fried because of overload, or the sub got buffeted, hit a rock or seabed and damaged the BQG5.
Another alternative is that they weren't using active sonar. Kind of like Silent Running. Active Sonar is like walking through a library playing the trombone. Passive Sonar listens for other people using Active Sonar.
With no Active Sonar, and no windows to look out of, the only thing you have left is your maps.
You do not run too close to the seabed, even with these maps because you want to allow a margin of error.
So in order for them to run aground, the seabed must have changed by more than that margin of error.
Which is a significant amount.
I could use the help of a geologist and meteorologist on this next bit, but I think it is true to say that the depth of water affects how quickly it's temperature changes.
The temperature of the sea in any given area affects the weather at a local and global level.
California is having particularly nasty and unusual weather right now.
I think the Earthquake has created an imbalance in the Earth's weather system which is going to create more of these events until the imbalance is corrected.
I also think some governments know this and are not telling us about it.
If it wasn't a significant problem, I think we would be told.
I think something is wrong. Perhaps very wrong.
I urge you to find out what you can from whoever knows, and raise awareness.
