aliop33 questioned the validity of my statement about the age of consent for gay sex being 21 in England.

Well I checked, and turns out I was wrong (like that never happens.)

It used to be 21. Here is some blurb I found about it by doing a google search:

What are British laws about homosexuality?

- The age of consent is the youngest age at which sex is legal. Homosexuality was legalised in the UK in 1967, and the homosexual age of consent has been reduced since then from 21 to 18 and now to 16 (the same age as for sex between men and women). You are not allowed to have sex in public places.
- Section 28 is a law that bans the "promotion" of homosexuality by local authorities (eg in schools) in England and Wales. Several lesbian and gay political groups are campaigning to get this law changed.
- Although it is illegal in the UK to discriminate on grounds of sex (man or woman), it is not illegal to discriminate on the grounds of sexuality (straight or gay).
- Lesbian weddings are not legal in the UK

So there you have it. I was wrong. All you young british gays can go back to bonesmuggling in peace - just not in public :>
