I would just like to go on the record as saying:

THIS is the biggest crock of shit I have heard since Florida 2000.

"Violent animal rights extremists and eco-terrorists now pose one of the most serious terrorism threats to the nation, top federal law enforcement officials say."

I would like to say I'm surprised, but I'm not. Although I am surprised they managed to say that with a straight face.

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe eco-terrorism is any more noble than ordinary terrorism. But stopping up the drainage pipes of a company illegally pumping covalent chloride into coastal waters is not, by any stretch of the imagination, the same thing as deliberately driving planes into buildings, or releasing Anthrax into the population, exploding a radiological bomb on Wall street, or burning down a church, or dragging a guy behind your truck until his head comes off just because he's black.

If the worse threat we face is the possibility of somone releasing puppies from a vivisection lab, then I guess we can stop spending all this money on Homeland Security.

This is exactly what it appears to be. The Administration is going after the animal rights supporters and the environment supporters. In other words, If you give money to PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), you will be treated the same as if you were giving money to Al-Qaeda.

President Bush is trying to silence these groups by cutting off the nickel and dime contributions from the individuals around the country.

The greatest threat to this country is animal rights supporters and environmentalists? I don't think so. The greatest threat to this country is in the White House right now.
